Smart Man Turn Few Hundred Into Millions

Making A Million With A Few Hundred

Austin Miller is a business man that was laid off of his construction job, despite his loyalty, his employer didn’t care about him and left him in the wind. He had a few hundred dollars in his bank and he used to to invest in his new cleaning business that would later on rack him a million dollar in revenue.

He was simple

he didn’t thought much about his strategy, he just picked one that is known to work, and stuck with it. He used Yelp to market his cleaning company, companies are leaving yelp for Google, so he had less competition. This decision all of a sudden makes sense, because people are so drawn to the best being Google, it became over saturated and eventually Yelp became strong again, because of it’s lower usage. Since he just focused on Yelp, he was able to figure out Yelp’s secret code, and got twenty 5 star review, just by asking for a 3 star review. Another method of marketing he used was word of mouth. Which is also underutilized, but since everyone got obsessed with digital marketing, word of mouth also became powerful as well.

It’s amazing how simplicity made a person successful. Austin started with a few hundred dollars, he got a vacuum, towels, and some cleaning chemicals. That is what he worked with and in a short year he made a million.

He was not greedy

Austin had competitive prices, companies were charging 300 dollars to clean a room, he only charged 120. He acknowledged that the cleaning industry overcharges their clients severely, so he made the decision to beat a strangely unsaturated market, with price.

Another smart stunt he pulled that was also simple, was that he payed his workers well. He paid his workers more than most states, he didn’t just advertise his job application with competitive pay, and not do it, he actually pays his workers well. He profits less than his workers, he just has a lot of workers to do the work for him.

Scaling

He started hiring people once his work outpace his time, when he was working more than 12 hours, he decided it was time to hire someone to automate his tasks. This is a business move, he didn’t immediately hire someone and act like a boss, he did the ground work, and when results are happening beyond his own scope, he hired someone to carry the weight.

He knows the limitation of growth with his cleaning business, so he began selling his cleaning products, because his cleaning business will scale at a few million at best per a year. If his products sells well it can turn into 50 million in a year. See how simple mindedness is actually effective for a business model? He Only worried about 3 things for his business, good review, good service, good pay for the staff. The fact that pays his staffs well, they will have a better retention rate for employees and as of result they don’t have to waste time training new employees every year.

Key Takeaway

Don’t Compete in Marketing Austin focused on Yelp, everyone is obsessed with google and Facebook ads, the noise is drowned out there. By focusing in a non-competitive area, he manage to stand out in front of his customers.
