Renting Your Baby Seat

Working Moms Are Renting Out Baby Seats And Strollers

If your city has lots of tourist attraction, you are in luck because right now there is a ongoing trend of moms working from home renting out baby seats and strollers for additional income. On average people are making 12 dollars a day per a piece of equipment rented out. Depending on the location of where you live you can make up to $19 a day and you just hand it to the user.

Why Are People Renting

It’s a hassle traveling with a car seat all the time, for example parents would fly to their location, and it’s just not optimal to carry the seat and strollers in a plane ride or stuff it in a taxi ride their ride to the hotel. They much rather pay extra than to carry 2 large objects that can encumber their movement. Also, paying $12 is a small price compared to dealing with a constant problem. People also prefer to rent from private owners because the equipment will most likely be higher quality compared to Hertz or Enterprise. Quality is important as it does pertain to the safety of their children. Here’s a complaint from a Hertz customer,

I rented a car seat from Hertz a couple months ago and won’t ever do it again. The first car seat they brought out was broken and clearly unsafe. The second one looked to be at least 10 years old, was completely worn down and the straps didn’t adjust properly. The rental was $100 for the week. Next time I would rather buy a cheap car seat and donate it after, it would be close to the same price and I won’t be completely freaked out about the baby’s safety anytime we’re driving.”
