Professional Cat Cuddler
You Can Get Paid to Play With Cats
Would You Like To Hear About Investing?I have success in investing in stock market, and a subscriber ask if I can write about it. |
Dream Side Hustle?
You can get paid to cuddle with cats. Sounds crazy don’t it? Right now there is a demand for people to cuddle with cats for psychological purposes.
The demand is so high, there are actually job listing on indeed looking for cat cuddlers, because no one is doing it.
You don’t have to spend a night at a strangers place, you just go to the home and hold them for X amount of hours and you’re done.
Why Would People Pay For This?
Trauma, you can go online and find cats getting terrified of a vet visit. They don’t know it’s for their own good, they just see a stranger sticking a needle in their skin.
You don’t have to be a cat person to know that it is hard to build a relationship with a cat, so you can imagine their forced interaction with a vet turns them jaded, and hate humans.
After a visit, cats will distance themselves from humans for a while, sometimes forever. Your job as the cat cuddler is to remind them that humans are chill, by cuddling with them.
Teach Them While They’re Young
Cat cuddlers are also hired to teach cats the positivity of human interactions. This is done at a young age where cats are impressionable.
It is strange but cats can permanently learn something if you do it at a young kitten age.
You can teach them how to get comfortable in water, so they don’t end up fitting the stereotype of being a cat afraid of water.
Side Story; I got a friend that got a cat purely for the purpose of cuddling with it, but the cat is a scaredy cat, and hate water. She regrets not training her to like human interaction while she was young.
Now the cat just sprints from anything that moves, people understand this psychology with cats, which is why they pay money so they can have a cat that don’t mind physical contact.
How To Get Started
Well, you can start anywhere, you can start your cat cuddling business online, just build a website through Squarespace, or post up flyers.
From personal experience, as far as animal service goes, I’ve seen flyers being the most effective. You may think online marketing is the way for everything. Right now marketing online is so drown out, it’s basically a screaming competition.
Digital marketers are apparently too good for snail mails, and that means significantly less people are doing it. Which opens up snail mail for marketing again.
Learn As You Go
There is little harm in cat cuddling, you can learn on the job. I used to work with dogs, and I’ve only been bit once, although it didn’t draw blood, I learn why they bite.
Through trial and error, and taking a conservative approach, you can understand a cat psychology and link it to their aggressive behavior.
Their tail may rise straight up to warn you, they’re alert. They will swing their front paws in a combative manner, 90 percent of the time, their claws are retracted, so your odds of getting scratched is low.
It’s quite strange, I know wimps that work with animals long enough, over time they stop caring about getting bit or scratched by animals.
Evolving Business
You can’t also evolve this business into coaching people, to work with their animals. Eventually people will ask you for advice on how to handle their cats.
You can charge an extra 30 minutes for the coaching lesson. You may teach your client how to hold, how to touch, how to warm them up for physical interaction. Really, the possibilities are endless.
You may wince at the idea of coaching someone how to hold a cat, but if you go online there are people teaching other people how to live life. They’re called life coaches.
You may think it’s some pretty high level stuff, living life to fullest? How? I saw a woman with a drug addiction teaching people how to find happiness, in a spiritual manner.
Personal Experience
When I was younger, I had a grant from the government to spend on something educational. I use that money from tax payers to pay for a life coach.
It was full of shit, the guy was teaching me how to use the calendar app, Telling me to not spend money I don’t have, and went on about how a sleeping routine is good for you.
Very basic stuff, common sense stuff, sure a few people may need this, but with marketing you can really BS your way into financial success.
That educator was financially successful, he made over a grand, just from me, and he had over 20 students.
Would I Do It?
No, I don’t love cats enough to try this. Sure, if I’m out of ideas and have zero income, it’s worth a try.
Just because I’m not doing it, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. There are many people doing things I wouldn’t do, and are making millions. It’s all about trying something and seeing if you’re lucky or not.
There is a guy that made a million dollars selling potato shavers in downtown of his city, because he tried.
