Osvaldo was a simple man, but hard working. He graduated with a Culinary degree and became an real estate accountant. Right now his side hustle is to simply carry trash from a person’s door step to the dumpster, while still working as a full-time accountant.
His start up was cheap, he just needed trash bins to carry trash, and phenomenal energy level, that’s not cheap.
I’ve met accountants through out my life, and after a shift, they are dead exhausted, because accounting is one of the most mentally exhausting jobs, but this guy has elite tier stamina to keep working before and after his main gig.
He literally sneaks his side hustle as he work, he would conduct meetings while working on his side hustle. It doesn’t bother him that he’s in the Texan sun, he still has the focus to talk to his peers on a different job.
His profit margin are high as well being at 87%, because he hires his family. Here’s a thing with hiring friends and family, it does come with a risk of mixing relationship and professional life.
However, if you can get family to work with you without any conflict, you prosper significantly faster. Just look at the Kardashians and their success.
Now these gigs are possible from having contracts with large properties. You can make propositions to companies or the properties locally, but Osvaldo found his clients by word of mouth.
Initially he had a client and they would call back a few times. He went through over a hundred clients until he got a contract with a large property where he can get consistent revenue.
He’s didn’t plan for this, he didn’t expect himself to have a large client, it was just through word of mouth. This goes to show that being present is important for business growth.
