2 Language 2 Income

2 Language 2 Income

Do you speak 2 language? Odds are you can make extra income selling translation services. Translation services can be provided in multiple ways. You can translate for different purposes, whether it be for a person that is immediate translation, or for a content creator that wants to expand to other countries with their content.

AI And Translators

Right now translators are losing their jobs, because there are development in translation tool like google translate. Now with the intervention of AI, improvements were added along with binary mechanism. So is translation still profitable?

Yes.

Translators are hired when politicians are discussing with world leader, wealthy business owners that wants to get into business internationally may need to hire a translator, but that would be translating your main job, and that’s is counter-intuitive to having translation as a side business. So the next option would be to translate for high quality content creators with funds to spare.

Even though translation software can replace basically all translation services there are limitations. Translations can become too technical and may use different alternative vocabulary or have strange alien grammar.

Where To Find Your Cash Cow

You will have to scavenge with your translation skill in your holster. You can go online and look at creators and see if they have international content, because if they don’t, you can create a sales pitch to convince them that they should expand to other countries. A prime example will be Mr. Beast, he currently reign as the biggest Youtuber ever, and as of 2023 only 14 percent of his views are from the US. Just by making his content language friendly to other nations he is able to retain viewers outside of his country by 86 percent.

Gambling With Your Cash Cow

Now if you do find you a person willing to pay you to venture into content flexibility, you will have to translate and pray. There is no such thing as a guarantee when making a business venture it will be a gamble and if this fails, you will lose your cash cow. Even if a channel has traction, things can fail. I remember when Yahoo made the executive decision to purchase the internet radio company, Broadcast. Users were charged $10,000 per customer and it contained 570,000 customers. The prospects were good, imagine two blokes running a multi-million dollar generating business, but with the divine powers of a multi-billion dollar company, imagine the growth. 3 years later the project was shutdown, and is now revered as the worst acquisition of all time.

Now I wouldn’t stress over losing your cash cow, as translation side gigs don’t usually pay that much. If things fails, to put it nicely you just lost a cash calf, not the end of the world.
